All War Will End {poem dedicated to Casey Sheehan}
Casey Sheehan
You came to me on this day
Placing your soul flame all around my body
I looked at the sky
And asked God why on April fourth
Why this soldier can't celebrate his life?
The sky opened up
My hands began to tremble
Lips and fingertips all aflamed
Lord let me be the instrument of your peace
Let him speak through me
Let him speak to the whole human race
Candle's flame can run fast
Life is fragile
But the time is close
All war will end
I can clearly see mother and her son
Walking hand by hand
As they did when walking to school
Walking home
To the garden
Of the everlasting life
